Fashion comes and goes, but classic good taste remains. Brooks Brothers has built a reputation on this simple fact, and nowhere is it more evident than in our collection of Timeless Classics. These iconic pieces are the fundamental building blocks of a well-appointed wardrobe—the favorites you return to time and again.
The Hero on a Hanger
Our non-iron dress shirts set the standards for quality that all others would follow. Made from 100% Supima® cotton, they are naturally soft and incredibly strong. Good to go right out of the dryer, they resist creasing and wrinkles, making them ideal for your suitcase, your gym bag…your everyday.
America’s Favorite Suit
No other enterprise has contributed more to the tailoring tradition of the nation than Brooks Brothers. It was we, after all, who first popularized ready-made suits in 1849. The heir apparent to this legacy is our 1818 Suit Collection, which is meticulously crafted in the United States from the world’s finest fabrics and offered in multiple fits.
Fashion has but a handful of true icons, and the navy blazer is one. What we love about it is its quiet sophistication—the simplicity of a deep shade of navy accented by gleaming brass buttons. It is the item you buy before your first suit and the item that remains a fixture in your closet years later. Our 1818 Blazer Collection is crafted in the United States (or Italy) from fine Italian wool and has the same timeless appeal. Its versatility is unmatched—it’s easily paired with gabardines, chinos and even denim—so it quite literally is an investment.
Simply said, the trench coat is forever cool. Its uncomplicated design and clean lines have changed little over time, but its evocative nature endures. Today, our trenches for men and women are a study in form and function—complete with innovative, weather-resistant finishes and removable warm linings. Single or double-breasted, belted or unbelted, upturned collar or not, the trench is more than a coat—it’s an attitude.
The Lovable (Livable) Oxford
Ever since it was introduced by Brooks in 1900, the button-down-collar oxford shirt has found a home in virtually all well-dressed wardrobes. From the ever-so-slightly rumpled fabric to the gently rolled collar, the shirt has an endearingly imperfect charm. We’ve restored many of the properties that attracted the public to the shirt generations ago. Today’s Original Polo® Button-Down Oxford is crafted in our own factories using Supima® cotton. The linings in the collars, cuffs and placket have been removed too, so what you’re left with is the softest expression of classic comfort.
Borrowed from the Boys
The women’s version of our non-iron dress shirt is every bit as essential, with the addition of French darting lending a more tailored look. It has incredible range—wear it with a suit, a skirt, a blazer, jeans or chinos. Flawlessly simplistic, it can be accessorized with jewelry or silk scarves to heighten the drama. Of course, like its male counterpart, it has a signature non-iron finish so it is easily cared for and well suited for a modern lifestyle.
